RE:RE:RE:RE:Comedic Timing!Wow Alaska74, where do I start. I was just gonna let this lie, but I think it's important to address the "Canadian" part of your statements.
First, please use paragraph breaks; it makes it far easier for these old eyes to follow. Also, it will strengthen your arguments instead of just looking like a stream of conciousness.
Ok, now to the substance. It is wonderful you have spent so much time in Canada and have gotten to "know" us so well. However, spending somewhere between 18 months and three years in the country really doesn't make you an expert. It appears you have mistaken your minimal experience with expertise.
Those wonderful folks you are so comfortable with on the floatplanes and the rural areas of the country are a small minority of the population. In Canada, 81.4% of the population lives in the Cities. In fact, the cities of Toronto, Vancouver (that you dislike so much) plus Montreal represent over a third of the population alone (34.4%). They are much more representative of the average Canadian.
So your claim to have "figured out the average Canadian" is misguided at best, arrogant at worst, but also appears to be complete erroneous. What we seem to be pretty good at is having reasoned, logical discussions with our fellow citizens regardless of which political party they vote for. Our friends are our friends, whomever they vote for.
Oh, by the way, our taxes aren't massive. They are higher than what your billionaires pay, but they come with many benefits like great roads, postal service that works, and Free Health Care! Oh, and giant swaths of wilderness where Americans can come hunting and fishing.
Just so you have the facts. Hear are the deficits under the most recent United States Presidents (billions):
Ronadl Regan: Taking office $78.9 billion; Leaving office: $152.6 Net: + $73.7
George HW Bush: Taking office: $152.6; Leaving office: $255 Net: + $102.4
Bill Clinton: Taking office: $255; Leaving office: $128.2 surplus Net: - $383.2
George W Bush: Taking office: $128.2 surplus; Leaving office: $1,410 def Net: +1,538.2
Barack Obama: Taking office: $1,410; Leaving office: $584.6 Net: - $825.4
Donald Trump: Taking office: $584.6; Current estimate: $1,100 Net: +515.4
So you see, the four Replublican Presidents all increased the defict during their term. The two Democrat Presidents both reduced the deficits during their term. So I'm not sure why you think Biden will be so poor; obviously the Democrats do very well fiscally. The Republicans seem to talk a good game, but spend like drunken ... when they take office.
I believe the tax cuts have reduced taxes an average of 10.96% for those earning under $200k, so that is probably why you feel the benefits. However, with the ballooing deficit, the situation is unsustainable. At some point soon, somebody will have to pay.
I don't understand your reference to your 2nd Bill of Rights. Perhaps you meant 2nd Amendment?
I will leave your ranting about wars, a-holes, antifa, and the dignity of presidents alone; that is your opinion on your own country. What I will say, is the United States is the most powerful nation in the world. It is shocking and disheartening for those outside your borders to see how it has fallen. It is also dangerous, as the world would surely benefit from respected, responsible leadership.
Anyway, love thy neighbor regardless of the party they support. Cheers, whisky time!
