RE:RE:RE:Rob McWhirter is probably buying back inEVERYONE MUST READ this again (below), to clarify the company's take on what McWhirter said... they obviously did not agree with how he portrayed PYR's prospects on national TV (BNN), and they most definitely realize that what he says can affect the share price, primarily because of his TV followers:
MONTREAL, Sept. 11, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (https://pyrogenesis.com) (TSX-V: PYR) (OTCQB: PYRNF) (FRA: 8PY), a high-tech company, (the "Company", the “Corporation” or "PyroGenesis") that designs, develops, manufactures and commercializes plasma atomized metal powder, plasma waste-to-energy systems and plasma torch products, issues this press release in response to a sudden decline in its stock price this afternoon.
Given the recent decline, and inquiries from investors, the Company confirms the following:
Everything material has been disclosed by the Company in either its press releases or financial reports. PyroGenesis further confirms that none of the contracts press released are at risk. Last but not least, the Company wishes to reassure PyroGenesis’ shareholders that we remain on track with our current and prospective projects.
“There seems to be an indication that certain comments made by a fund manager in the course of an interview lead to this decline. In the interview it appears that one could conclude that he suggested that he did not expect more than 1 to 2 torches to be sold by PyroGenesis within the next 3-6 months,” said Mr. P. Peter Pascali, CEO and President of PyroGenesis. “Although I respect analysis done by third parties, I am also aware of the challenges that this presents to these same very same analysts who, by the very nature of the job, are always on the outside looking in. This is also exasperated by the pressure they have of providing insight within sound bites. Having said that I can confirm that the Company has visibility on more torch orders than that alluded to in the interview. In fact, I can confirm that the current status of torch negotiations with various clients anticipate closing more than 1-2 torch deals in well under 3 months, let alone 3-6 months. These comments are not meant to reflect badly on the analyst in question, but merely to provide additional insight that only a CEO with full information can, and which I felt, under the circumstances, was necessary.”
About PyroGenesis.... etc., etc. LINK TO FULL NR HERE well, here we are Oct-27, so
about 1.5 months into the 3 months alluded to...
boy, even if there are some unexpected minor COVID-related delays, we are definitely heading into a high-potential hot zone period...
add to that the imminent TSX listing upgrade, and we longs have reason to be very optimistic right now... the entire situation and share price could change significantly at ANY TIME now, from here on into the rest of this year...
I expect the McWhirter effect will subside over time as we attract more and different institutional interest along with some analysts, fund managers, etc... it will not happen overnight, but the TSX listing will help...
also, I would not rule out McWhirter showing up on TV again in a few weeks or months, and gradually (or mayby suddenly) changing his tune, and perhaps even casually mentioning that "they bought back in on recent weakness several weeks ago"...
this is a weird, wonderful, and confounding game -- and it definitely does not have the interests of the average retail investor in mind... that's why the "advice" is free...
sandysouci wrote: sorry, but I only wondered if McWhirter might be buying now...
after all, why SHOULDN'T he be???... he is a very likely buying candidate because he knows the company so well, and has owned it before.. it makes PERFECT sense, and if I were him, I sure as heck would be buying... how do you know he didn't pick up some of last week's financing?...
and YES, imho he 100% had A LOT to do with the drop from $5.25-ish to $4.25-ish back on Sept-11...
OF COURSE that caused it... he went on national TV and totally turned on PYR(!!!).... why do you think the company PYR has to issue an immediate NR contradicting him?...
YES, a lot of people watch that show, and yes they shadow his trades (after the fact of course which is totally useless, but that's another matter...)...

But if it moves the price up is that just as heinous?
You were calling for their heads before when you decided that theyw ere the sole reason fro an average share price drop to Pyrogenesis....
Will you now state that they are princes because of the price going up? Should we give them a huge percentage of our gains because when the price moved before I believe lawsuits were discussed, weren't they?
This ytype of thinking is POISON for the investment world, I hope it leaves the minds of ALL of our best contributors soon.
If I have stepped on some toes with this post, I apologize profusely, but stand by my words.
Cheers!

Q: an we find out somehow, and if so, how much of a delay will there be?...
thank you...
