RE:Dissident LetterSuddenly, the cat's got the tongue of Mr. Brain Knish? Normally you can't get him to shut up, and now total silence. Today's issue of NOW is out, with a total of maybe $8-10k in ad revenue and expenses easily six to eight times that. Georgia Straight not looking much better. So why would anyone bother to attempt a takeover of this company? Seems like the prize is an obvious license to lose lots more money. And why this particular group of dissidents? Rebels consisting of a last-resort mortgage lender up in Woodbridge and a few of his presumed pals in the 905 -- plus a sixtyish property developer with a self-professed love of the arts. These are not the "creative-class" urbanites Mr. Knish claims as his people. What draws these well-heeled (?) renegades to this unknown stock, hustled by a shadowy rascal, that trades at a penny, but isn't worth that much? Getting more and more interesting, isn't it?
