lol, no, not a teacher - and I understand the 10 second rule. Sometimes writing these posts helps me clarify my own thoughts.
When it comes to supporting folks who just want to game the system, I think the biggest dollar amounts in a Biden administration will be given away to blue states who lost control of their budgets and have huge deficits. Also some could go to illegal immigrants, etc. Huge amounts of money. Do I personally favor that? No.
Another thing that could happen is a national health care system in the U. S. One aspect of that might be to cover everyone. Does everyone in a developed western nation deserve to have health care as a right? Probably.
As you can see, like most folks I think in very conservative ways on some issues (national security, fiscal responsibility, education, etc.) and maybe a bit more progressive on other issues like health care, legalized medical pot, etc.).
As this election has turned out, we may see a divided government, with the U. S. Senate standing in the way of any major new programs or radical changes, and a conservative Supreme Court that may provide a backstop. The markets actually seem to like that a lot. And in less than two years, if you don't like how the House stands now, you get another shot to change it. I would have liked a different result, but we need to deal with what actually happened.
My point was that we can complain about how government acts on these things, but doubtful that we can change it. What we can do is talk about the effects on us, and focus on our own actions that we can control. If we do it right, we can improve our financial health. If we don't improve our financial health we won't be in any position to help the causes or people that we want to.
