RE:McDonalds to develop own plant based burger

RE:McDonalds to develop own plant based burgerMcDonalds is all about a branding. If it collaborated with BYND to develop it;s veggie burger it would have done so with the goal of taste v cost, I think it is a safe bet that MFI is out of the loop on this one.

At the supermarkets in eastern Canada, BYND burger paddies are less expensive than MFI's LightLife. From a consumer price perspective, would someone pay more?  I've tried the A&W Beyond Burger and it was ok, but in my opinion too expensive for what you got. I've yet to try KFC's plant chicken burger, which is a MFI product.

If next quarter's sales are flat against the most recent quarter, you can reasonably conclude that demand is flat and that steep losses in this segment will continue adding further negative pressure to the stock.

My 2 cents.
