RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sandpiper's proposed board member... caution... You say you have no agenda, but you defended Sandpiper Losing probably around $20m in two months at Dream as some sort of they probably had a better strategy where to invest the money.. seriously? And you want to talk investments. They are at full tilt losing money on a lot of investments my guess is they are down another 50% on extendcare.. anyway he bought shares at $35 bragged about it and sold at $16 with less the two months sure sounds like a margin call to me. You say you have been here for a year so then you must be happy as Artis REIT outperformed the others. They were trading at $13.70 something before Covid so again your comments make no sense. They were working with Scotia and City on strategies for the REIT and you think Sandpiper knows better.. cute!
Also don't know what your point was on St Vital.. I sure see a lot of vacancy there (like the full pier 1 space), but that is irrelevant since they have 250 properties or so. Maybe Sandpiper wants to share with us how they get their NAV at over $16 since analyst NAV is at $13. What is their plan for the Fort Mac and Grande pRairie assets? Spinning off in my understanding wouldn't stop you from selling assets and you and I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it.
the guy there sound a lot like someone that just lost his job down south, he has a long history of terrible decisions, comes out with facts that don't check (seriously if the Martes kids had made $300m I would be pissed, but maybe his history of using public money for his family made that a good argument for him to use a giant others) he claims glory for work he hasn't done (same strategy used everywhere he goes and he used widely before).and his only success was the most obvious move in the history of REITs, get a single tenant REIT with the lowest debt ratio amongst all REIT to buy assets with the money seating universes... wow!! in any event you are correct in one thing I don't have a big position there. So good luck! As a Winnipeger though you should care that jobs will disappeared , the assets will be liquidated with no planning or care whatsoever. Also I never said your interest doesn't align with ours I said Sandpipers doesn't but you do like to defend them a lot. So I got ask. How much do you know about them? He currently has zero to do with the REIT and the results don't look soo bad.. also Dream is just fine without him so I hope he stays on this page for awhile. Ok. Enough of this board... I regret everytime I come..If you are not with them already send your resume.. good
luck!
