Enbridge Inc. is an energy transportation and distribution company. The Company operates through five business segments: Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission and Midstream, Gas Distribution and Storage, Renewable Power Generation, and Energy Services. Liquids Pipelines consists of pipelines and terminals in Canada and the United States that transport and export various grades of crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons. Gas Transmission and Midstream consists of its investments in natural gas pipelines and gathering and processing facilities in Canada and the United States. Gas Distribution and Storage consists of its natural gas utility operations. Renewable Power Generation consists of investments in wind and solar assets, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and transmission assets. Energy Services provides physical commodity marketing, logistics services, and energy marketing services. The Company owns Aitken Creek Gas Storage facility and Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facility.

Really good point. I'm hoping that we know one way or another soon so that ENB can move forward.

The original deadline was August 15th, and that was extended to allow for a contested hearing, but I can't imagine that after YEARS of being in the system and challenge after challenge, there was nothing new from the hearings that they would need to wait until the statutory deadline to deal with. Having said that, it is already November 12th, so.....

If there's negative Line 3 news, then I think mid 30s is not out of the question--we were there last week, so if we do go back, hopefully we don't say there too long.

Without predicting the decision...the fact that they waited till the last minute could merely be representative of the wild and woolly world of US politics....they didn't want to make a decision before Nov 3rd so as not to affect the election results and have to deal with that "scandal" on CNN or FOX...and with all the uncertainty over the election results it would be prudent and not surprising to wait until the last minute to issue the decision.
