Offering options to employees, contractors etc is not an uncommon practice for any business. Consider the blockages and extra time spent by employees and sales people entering another country under unknown Covid rules (almost for certain x-self isolation) . Options at this stage are a very necessary carrot to keep expenses down and retain quality employees.
