RE:Anyone notice the trading in MXR today ...Reviewed MXR a while back and they struck me as a bit overly-promoted. My initial impression was that they were relying on series of news releases (siting impressive float samples) to hopefully advance the share price, while at the same time being fuzzy on how they were going to advance the project. A JV or farmout seemed to be the most likely path, but who knows when that would have materialized. My thinking was that Aurania had first mover advantage (and the most prospective geology) and that positive assays would provide the spark that ignites the other copper-silver plays. Was planning on buying MXR with some of my gains from Aurania. One problem though; I’ve yet to see those gains.
Unfortunately, Aurania’s ill-timed PP totally killed the stock’s price momentum. It didn’t help that the PP was issued at a significant discount to the then trading price. Or that it took twice as long to close as expected. Adding to the gravity, assay results (at N2) are later than the late October / early November time estimates provided by the company. I emailed IR last month, politely asking about the delays, but never received a reply. I shouldn;t be surprised I guess. Afterall I'm just some lowly remora hitching a ride on Dr. B's massive shark head.
Hannan Metals (V.HAN) is the 3rd company (that I’m aware of) that is working on a sediment hosted copper-silver deposit. Maybe worthwhile having a look. They have a reasonably small float as well. I plan to do some DD this weekend.
Cheers
