RE:RE:Assuming line 5 gets shut downI will not assume line 5 gets shutdown:
1- The line operating pressure is 150 pound/sq inch. The line was tested in 1953 at 1200 PSI. 8 times the operating pressure. It was recently tested again at 1200 PSI and passed the test. This proves that operating years did not weaken the pipline.
2- ENB loss will be insignificant compared to the state loss. Propane is used in the industry to manufacture about 6000 parts essential for homes, offices automobiles.....etc. representing loss of products and employment.
3- for over sixty years there was no incident to cause concern.
4- I hope ENB will request pipe examination by independant Inspection authority. They have until May to do it.
