RE:Is the train leaving the station?

RE:Is the train leaving the station?Words were tossed around for the past few decades, such as--- reducing the ecological footprint, bio capacity, carrying capacity, sustainable development, protecting ecosystems, climate change, global warming, ocean acidification and greenhouse gases. The academic/scientific world sets the background and then countries define their net-zero emission targets, some going to 2050. A lot of projects will be in the pipeline. As most are financed by debt, they are dependent on interest rates. All had it easy up to now. Low interest rates allowed for generous returns and quick payback periods. Larger companies will run the show with their economies of scale. Barriers to entry will impact the smaller firms bidding for larger projects. I believe it's still early in the evolution of renewables. Advances in technology are impressive. 20MW rare earth free wind turbines within 3 years. Large floating offshore windfarms will be the norm. More efficient solar panels and electrical storage facilities for smaller applications will come on stream. Development costs will continue to decline, as will price/kilowatt hour. For now, it's not where the train is, but lets jump onto the bandwagon.
