Put all your effort into farming it out if the in house department can't hack it?
There's a fresh idea that's never been thought of...and here I thought they were going to put on their Salesperson hats, and start distributing their products and make a boatload using their top heavy highly skilled sales-oriented staff ;)
Did it ever occur that the key FDA approval needs to be (almost) in place before they get the price they want/deserve? I say "almost", because interim data could be everything that a potential buyer needs to know.
In the meantime, it's an apparent anti-IR program to keep attention away from the stock. Don't want the ultimate Buyer to get spooked or cold feet. Maybe there's a "I'm not chasing the price, so don't draw attention to yourself" clause somewhere?

PS the staff griping thing is a distraction. They see Mgt enriching themselves with options that will pay off handsomely in the future. Too bad no one thought to reward the secretary, AP clerk, and janitor, like Microsoft did for their staff in the 80's.
