RE:Share price revovered Mega
That timeframe you depicted just shows a very subtle and minor $1.28 change from one date to another. The nasty extreme low on Oct 30 after the earnings results were posted showed a very low bottom of roughly $17 price if memory serves me well.
With todays closing price of $21.93 that tells me the "smart money" saw a bargain of the year or few years when they bought at those lows that is truly irresistible. While many were heading for the hills because of a earnings report that may not have met their expectations, the smart money and the institutional money were busy buying stock on fire sale prices. He results showed a few "one time" charges against earnings. SNC took advantage of CRA entitlements they believe they were entitled to that's all. They were deemed non applicable. . Big deal!!!! That is no different than each of us Canadian tax filers submitting our annual tax remittances only to get our "notice if assessments" that says we were not entitled to certain tax credits if deductions. Big deal once again. We pay the penalty and interest assessed by the CRA and we move in with life. That's all folks. Sure you can fight it to the end of time but at what cost?????
SNC I believe took advantage of loopholes they believe they had a right to claim for in consultation with their tax and finance dept's. before submitting their claims. That us a smart move in trying to save money for all shareholders. Remember this is your money as SH's.
I said it so many times along similar analogies. You go fishing when you see trout or walleye/pickerall in the water. You don't go fishing when you see sharks in the water.
Seems like certain things that are so common sense need to be preached over and over again!!!
My guess is I will have to continue to preach until the share price is where everyone expects it to be "today" and then have to tell them the same thing I have been saying over and over again for the last 2 years.
Patience, patience, patience!
Hopefully we have a few people remaining at that time who have the decency to thank the truly long term "buy and hold" and " always positive and smart thinkers" on this board who have continued to preach the same things over and over. The smart and confident ones know what to do. The rest need to really understand what they are invested in. If you don't have confidence in what you are invested in, then my guess is that I highly doubt you will be around long enough to see the harvest after the current seeds are done being planting.
Been around for a long time in the investing world.
Do your own research and understand what you are investing in is my best advise to anyone!
Buy only when you are confident to do so but have the ability to hang on imo.
Good luck to all!
