ICF: Paradigm change in construction tech?

While we hear and read a lot of nonsense about letting those Albertans freeze in the cold, leaving ALL O&G in the ground, and plastics being banned, all to save the planet, I've also noticed driving around town a  construction tech that does not use the traditional and ubiquitous 2 by 4 in framing perimeter walls.  It is called ICF for Insulated Concrete Forms using styrene/propylene derived blocks which remind me of Leggo.  Stopped and talked to a few workmen who swear it is the coming thing in construction both commercial and residential.

However, general ontractors don't seem to be impressed.  (Reduced labour time?)

Couls this be a target market for Heartland?
