Kirkland Lake is the sum of a lot of moving parts. I don't think the message is filtering down about how Detour will optimised, with production going up, and at the same time reducing costs. Same thing for the Macassa story. There is a myopic focus on Fosterville, which is incredibly strange for a market that has an incredibly short attention span. There is more than enough time for this company to replace reserves. In the meantime it is a cash machine, and will remain one for years to come.
Its not specific to kl. All the golds are down at the moment. Its called the covid rotation. Or the vaccine rotation to be more specific. The pog needs to start moving back up to get them moving again.

Some appear to be more blighted than others, like Kirkland Lake. There are quite a few miners that have demonstrated resilience. People seem to have forgotten the money printing that is going on world-wide. Gold will roar back; I have no doubts about that.
