I learned not to read their NRs too quickly.
Right on.
The "step in the right direction" is that somehow SHARC was a participant in drawing up a boilerplate contract form for all comers in the waste heat recovery arena.
The result is a useful and practical document, but it has nothing to do with any sales of any unit.
The County has set aside a budget for three pilot projects -- not for the purchase of any SHARC units, but only to fund the interface connections (metering &c) between "The Project" and the public utilities.
The contract template is pages and pages long and quite detailed, "Acts of God" &c
That's useful -- but the Project Builder who wishes to install a Unit (so far, wink wink, a party both "secret" and "potential" -- and how has that language worked out? Santa+Easter Bunny+Tooth Fairy+Jodie Enterpises, anyone? ) will be signing the contract.
Any "WTEU" (Wastewater Thermal Energy User) in the SHR sphere will have to sign the contract. The Thirty Cent Villagers will hope that it is SHARC who is the scrawler.
But the document does serve as a pretty comprehensive dot the i's and cross the t's kind of contractual model to add to the sales kit for all those well-trained and productive "Representatives".
So no actual sales, only "potential" -- but maybe another plop down to encourage something sprouting in the field if not in the market.
The Villagers can only hope that the "fill in the blanks" part is awaiting to jump the SHARC and the "Secret Potential Project" contractor will "sign on the dotted line", before a competitor jumps the cue and everyone bails at the 20 cent range. (but, hey, there's good support at the 18-23 cent range -- check Level II)
The whole multi-page generic template for WTEUs, of which this is a preamble, is at https://mkcclegisearch.kingcounty.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=4568879&GUID=7A74F8AE-DB38-4BA9-AC3E-5F3C064E7A90&Options=Advanced&Search=
