Quebec 2030 Plan for a Green Economy Qubec will export its electricity to its neighbours and become the “battery” of northeastern America. By becoming a clean energy supplier, Qubec will contribute to the effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions beyond its borders.
In addition to electricity, new sources of renewable energy, including bioenergy, green hydrogen and renewable natural gas will diversify Qubec’s energy portfolio. Through the development of these green energies, the government will consolidate the international expertise Qubec already has with its clean electricity.
