Crude Oil WTI finish over 42$ USClosing price : Oil prices ended up on Friday, driven by the hope of vaccines against Covid-19 but also by the concern of investors to position themselves before a Thanksgiving week in the United States where trade will be little provided.
The Brent Barrel ContractBRENT Brent or North Sea crude, is a variation of crude oil serving as a benchmark in Europe, listed on the InterContinentalExchange (ICE), a stock exchange specializing in energy trading. It has become the first international standard for fixing oil prices.the North Sea for January delivery gained 1.72% or 76 cents compared with Thursday's close at 44.96 dollars .

In New York, the American barrel of WTIWTI West Texas Intermediate (WTI), also known as Texas Light Sweet, is a variation of crude oil used as a standard in setting the price of crude and as a raw material for oil futures with Nymex (New York Mercantile Exchange), the stock exchange specializing in energy.for December advanced 0.98% or 41 cents , to $ 42.15 .

The two benchmark prices have gained around 4% since the start of the week.
