TSX market opening ceremony!apparently, PYR will be opening the TSX market soon... I remember seeing the approximate date Dec. 10th mentioned earlier
Q: does anyone else think this might actually provide a surprisingly big boost to PYR's visibility, and one that has not been reflected yet? (I do)... is there a confirmed date yet? looking at the reference page put out by the TSX, they claim it will be shown on BNN... that's a pretty big deal folks
they say:
"Market Open Ceremonies at Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) provide an opportunity to generate exposure for listed companies and select organizations. The market opens are broadcast live on the Business News Network morning show and live streamed on YouTube. The event is also featured on TSX.com and TMX.com, and shared through Twitter and Facebook." LINK TO INFO PAGE also, I think people are underestimating to potential increase in general legitimacy we are now going to start receiving by being on the actual TSX... it might take a few days or even weeks, but it simply has to happen (too bad the first day was a Friday, which tends to get lost in the week's wrap up)
I'm old school, and unfortunately, any symbol with ticker suffix "V" is to be treated with caution, because "it's trading on Vancouver" (even though the V now stands for Venture)...
I know people that to this day, will not touch anything that does not trade on the main TSX board...
personally, I very often hold venture stocks, and have no issues, because many of the best high profit opportunities are there... I invest in mainly Canadian stocks, and sadly, there are limited choices
anyway, we are now on finally the main TSX, which is excellent... I still have to get used to it..
and darned this f&@$*&^%* COVID!... if the ceremony now has to be virtual so be it, but it's too bad for Peter and company, because they can't trot down to Bay St. in person, and ring an actual physical bell... what a rush that would be for Peter: all that time and effort, and finally ringing that flipping bell -- while holding over 70,000 shares of a $4/share stock... wow
who knows though, perhaps the TSX will make an extra effort to distribute and promote the news BECAUSE it's being done virtually...
it might actually work out better for shareholders regardless, it'll be a great day for shareholders, and imho a coming out party of sorts
PS:
don't rule out some sort of positive company NR coming out, perhaps on or just before the bell ringing date... HPQ developments?, torch sale?, updated sales estimates?, etc., etc. -- lots of possibilities
, but not sure if that has not been confirmed
