Computer modelingAs we all know speculation on the size of the iron ore pelletization contracts have been posted ad nauseum. It's led me to wonder what computer modeling can and potentially can't tell a customer about the effects of new equipment on an industrial process. We know Clients A and B were happy with the results of the modeling. It's been stated the torches have no effect on the quality of the pellets and there is operational cost reductions. But my question is can it tell anything about the durability of the torches under real life operating conditions? Is the reason Client B requested a quote for such a small number of torches is they want to test durability for a certain amount of time? Perhaps someone on the board has experience with computer modeling.
