Jordan will open a consulate in the Moroccan-occupied part of Western Sahara, following the lead of the United Arab Emerites.  It looks like the Arab world is beginning to rally around Morocco; the Polisario forces are outgunned both literally and politically.  The chances of serious hostilities breaking out -- including any which might affect the phosphate mining and transport operations in the Moroccan-held part of Western Sahara -- are now considerably diminished.

I never thought there was much of a chance of serious war breaking out, but enough instability to continue recent upward pressure on phosphate prices would help Arianne's prospects considerably.  Hopefully, Europe, the U.S., Canada, and Australia will refuse to trade with the Moroccan operation.  We need Japan, New Zealand and India on our side, too.  Can't count on China or Russia.
