RE:RE:RE:Why GCM isn't trusted and continually lags"kkkrrr: I've been in GCM for 3 years and made some nice money. I, too, used to also pump GCM as being extremely undervalued. It's always been (and until Serafino and crew are gone) will probably continue to be undervalued. Why? They use GCM as their personal piggy bank. They're not trusted or more people would be buying and the share price would grow dramatically (and I think we both agree a reasonable valuation is 2-4x higher)."
Lumpy, could have been me writing that. I've been here at least three years and actually had a similar position in Teranga. Sold all of that and moved it into GCM. Teranga has at least doubled, we've floundered. I remember reading here about the inside deals but didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Since then there has been many and, I suppose long term the jury is still out. But, in the short run the market doesn't seem to think much of them. I suspect Caldas will eventuslly be the next really undervalued company with many deals being done. In spite of these deals I am reluctant to blame Serafino completely. He has instituted a buyback and dividend. Both of which were begged for here. I think he knows mining but trusts the wrong people elsewhere. kkk knows whom I speak of. Not sure what else the company can do to get to a better valuation, short of stop doing extraneous deals and buy back as many shares as possible. As we all search for answers I will stick with my theory on deals that don't seem transparent and benefit a few at the expense of the shareholders mixed with the stink on the bottom of our shoe which is the people orbiting us.
