RE:RE:RE:RE:THE SCIENCEYou can't compare Trillium to Sernova. So many different variables, the only similar one is that they are both in the Biotech space. It's like seeing your neighbour pull up in a new Ferrari and then you start complaining that you don't have a Ferrari and that you should just because you live on the same block. Comparing the two is pointless.

Diabetes is one of the big money makers for lots of the companies that have been circling Sernova. It is in all their best interests that Sernova fails. Do you think any of those companies would want Sernovas pouch to work? Do you think they'd want to give them a few hundred million to help them build something that would render their own technology useless? Probably not, so you're probably going to see deals with companies that are not primarily in the diabetes space. Forget all the rumors about sanofis and novos and lily. They could be the ones shortling the stock for all we know, it wouldn't take very much money to freeze sernova like it has been frozen for months. THe bestshot sernova has is with Medtronic since they are a device company and they could still sell their glucose monitoring systems to patients who get the pouch installed as a precautionary measure to ensure the pouch is working. The only other companies that would get involved are likely ones who don't make insulin or or tablets for type 2 or companies who want to use the pouch for a completely different indication that I've mentioned several times before.

Sernova needs to break monogamy with diabetes and start more trials with other indications. It is like they are going after the heavyweight champion right out of the gate instead of knocking out some smaller and easier diseases or ailments. No one believes they can do it and that is why the price is where it is. We need proof, and c peptide is not the proof we need. How much insulin are these patients continuing to take? Have many if any are insulin free? You know who knows all this? Medtronic and the fact that they aren't all over this technology tells ME that maybe, just MAYBE this technology isn't as great as the people on this board make it out to be even though they aren't privvy to any results, just some c peptide in the blood and likely don't even know what that means.
