RE:RE:C-Peptide, why the body likes it :)Bio it doesn't say zero insulin it says "failed to gain insulin independence". Cpeptide is a byproduct of the formation of insulin so she also had detectible natural insulin but not enough for insulin independence. This only reinforces the importance of the cell pouch. Imagine instead of receiving those islets intramuscular she had a cell pouch implanted where they can actually vascularize and survive. We have achieved a 90% reduction in hypoglycemic events and have sentinel pouches showing highly vascularized islets. It would have been a great opportunity for her to implant autologous islets in the cell pouch she would have not needed immune protection a bit of a tragedy really.
