CGX Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. It is focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and the development of a deep-water port in Berbice, Guyana. The Company, through one of its subsidiaries, holds an interest in a Petroleum Prospecting Licence (PPL) and related Petroleum Agreement (PA) on the Corentyne block in the Guyana Basin, offshore Guyana. The Company, through its subsidiary Grand Canal Industrial Estates, is constructing the Berbice Deep Water Port. This facility, located on the eastern bank of the Berbice River, adjacent to and north of Crab Island in Region 6, Guyana, is being constructed on 30 acres with 400 m of river frontage. Its subsidiaries include CGX Resources Inc., GCIE Holdings Limited and CGX Energy Management Corp. It is the operator of the Corentyne block and holds a 27.48% working interest. Its Wei-1 exploration well is located west of the Kawa-1 discovery in the northern region of the Corentyne block.

Oil-Run, excellent post as always!

My only concern and even concern is not the right word is that Frontera doesn't actually want a JV and wants to keep this for themselves for the reserves.  Again not a horribly bad thing other than a raise will be needed which will dilute us again.

I'm sure they are speaking with other companies and listening to them but my gut is saying that unless the terms knock there socks off they will go this alone.  

I get the feeling like they weren't in a hurry before to let others prove there is oil there, COVID hit, downturn in need, reduced prices but now they will need to act so one way or the other I think you are going to see this move forward and I think it will be alone.

For the record that is NOT my preferred option but I feel like this is what's going to come.  I'd much prefer an Exxon, or Apache given their knowledge but just don't see it.  I also don't think there is any chance of a buyout at all but hope I'm wrong and it is $5 or higher if it ever were to happen but who knows.
