I believe BNS is out of the gold trading business now. I thought earlier JPM was fined $900,000,000 for illegal trading activities. These are subsequent fines? I think the fines are way smaller than the $$ they make illegally. None of us believe the price of gold went down towards the last week of November because people travelled for Thanksgiving. Nor did it rise this morning because December is such an attractive month. So the games go on, fines be darned. The entire COMEX should be blown up. Even then, new schemes will be discovered.
