I think covid has hurt phosphate prices a great deal. Fertilizer helps not only crops for human and animal consumption, but also pine trees for paper and packing materials, and various plants for the production of biofuels. Paper and biofuels surely took a hit as economies around the world slowed down.
Phosphate prices are rising slowly, but I think that as the vaccine arrives, and worldwide economies come back, phosphate prices could take off. Of course, an escalation of the instability in Western Sahara wouldn't hurt.
