RE:RE:Peter Hug - point of view

RE:RE:Peter Hug - point of viewNo, Oldfx1, not a trader LOL. I hold a lot of shares (bought years ago around $7) and simply take some off the table annually to crystalize a managemable amount of capital gains. TFSA can be easily taken to the sidelines and back and forth without tax implications and did some of that prior to US election. I have a longer term view and although occassionally have some self doubt about sp gyrations (algo manipulations, etc) I feel very fortunate and KL has been a good ride....and I suspect will do very well for years to come, particularly with Macassa resource increase in next few years.
However, Peter Hug makes good points around being a trader versus being an investor. Traders need to be nimble but investors have a longer term horizon....if they're investing in the right product. Its a different philisophy. I believe he is correct about now is the time to be long.....for the next 6 months at least. We'll soon see if he's right. Better than Vegas, right?
