RE:RE:RE:RE:Don’t be blinded by one lightning flash in the forestI'm sorry but I'm calling BS here. There is no evidence whatsoever that Downs has not consulted with the FN, read them in/ given them due respect etc etc. What evidence do you have of this? Lack of cultural sensitivity/colonial yada yada. Yes these things are important but there is zero evidence of Graham Downs falling down in these areas. On the contrary. If you've kept up with it and actually been in touch with ATAC, you'll find that ATAC has been forthcoming and respectful of whatever concerns presented at every stage. This is a lack of communication from the other side. All that ATAC has ever asked for is clear directions and concerns that would then be addressed. In fact they've done everything asked. Now in some people's minds all Downs needs is cultural sensitivity and being a better listener--give me a f break. This is the mining business guys and they have been professional/responsive/honest each step.
Yes they have a ton of prospective properties but if they can't get a straight answer and direction from the YK gov on the simplest accessed property they have--TIger--then good luck with the further out concerns. No, until this is worked out by politicians who can make the hard decisions and FN people who can communicate clearly/openly with all parties, this is going nowhere and I am divested. GTLA
