How is that working for you? Don’t worry, I’ve tried to figure it all out myself and about all I got out of it was various levels of frustration. What I learned for sure is that the stock market behaves in a way that defies any forms of simple human logic. What I also believe is that there is not one single stock that isn’t manipulated in some way and as a shareholder, we are exposed and as a single investor, we have no control. And we swim in shark infested waters as far as the whole picture goes. Due diligence is the very best form of protection in my opinion. If we can make investing decisions based on logic as opposed to emotion then that reduces risk.
As for Sernova, I’m sure we can all agree that the piece of plastic known as the Cell Pouch is the star of the show. That’s easy to figure out. And that causes certain people to have runaways with visions of immediate wealth and people dreaming of the flash trinketry they think they want to waste the cash on, picking colours for the new Porsche they are about to own because of the obvious potential of the plastic. Not me, but I do like the idea of donkeyfeathers, I think it was. I believe I’ll rig up a Harley Davidson with about 300hp and a PTO and take it out there to operate the haying gear. Not sure of what colour to paint it though.
All the talk of collaborarions has worn worn itself out, sort of anti climactic. After all, Matthews has been saying for about four consecutive years that the company will be bought out. “It’s imminent”.
Yup, even a broken clock is correct twice a day. He’s also been less than useless in the same four years. Never mind his childish behaviour, he’s weakened the company image in the markets with his appointed position and arranging sketchy financings and at the same time as an insider, used the financing for his personal gain. Not to mention spending money on designer IR firms like a drunken sailor, all to no avail. He’s not a friend to the idea of reducing cash burn but more of an accelerant to it. OK, here we go again, huh? Some say that I have some obsession about the official company selphie shooter. Nope!! It’s just that he doesn’t fit. Early on he had some value as a telephone answering service to allow Phil to be in the lab. After that, he quickly ran out of gas. A collaboration is definitely possible though, no doubt about it but I’m very curious as to what it would look like.

Yes, he has had the exposure to having his employer bought out while he was the CFO. In a phone visit with him he outlined to me the things he experienced on the business side and how he applies that experience to Sernova’s dealings today. I’ll give him full marks for that. That was good, otherwise, I believe he’d struggle himself deeper into some corporate quicksand as it relates to the Pharma sharks as these collaborations are negotiated. So now what?...........
Matthews, the company phone receptionist, semi retired within the company and still paid, is a known habitual liar. Not bright, inexperienced and not even having a learning frame of mind to try to gain some experience to better himself. But he has been convenient for the doctor and the pair of them have been side by side for years, Matthews “teaching” him in the ways of business? You do learn from your teacher so where Ray is an ignorant dumbass, guess what? He seems to be teaching doctor all he knows! Doctor has high marks in the selphie school. He has now become a vonafide liar as well. Is that one of his finer qualities? He also unashamedly betrayed long term loyal and dedicated shareholders and I have serious trouble with that. And I believe Matthews taught the act of betrayal to the doctor as well because Matthews has lied to and betrayed the doctor himself!!!"......... and selphie is still there? How does that work? Figure that one out. So, welcome to the soap opera managerial team of sernova corp.
The soap opera managerial team, including the board as I know them, are redundant. They are not on our side. Human Nature is on their side. Human Nature causes humans to resist change but other humans can only take so many lies and so much betrayal. So called management is weak, frail. They don’t have the wherewithal to get at least optimum value in a buyout as I see it. Bottom Line? To replace the soap opera group with astute business types with leadership qualities would be good for all shareholders. If money means anything to anybody, new leadership would accelerate share price to where it fairly should be. Sellers would become extinct.
Dr Witkowski is holding us together, along with the Sernova staff in the lab. We can’t lose Witkowski and I hope he’s wearing hockey or football gear when he drives.
In in any case, Yes, there will be collaborations and Yes, there will ultimately be a buyout. It’s just that there can be a cleaner and better way.
