Green oils paradox

Green oils paradoxRemember poor old Zeno, the ancient greek who could never get anywhere.Once he got half way ,he had to go half way again, ad infinitum
Similarly for BP and the other majors who have announced with great fanfare their net zero by 2050 goals.
Green projects are capital intensive and have much longer payouts than oil projects.
With the industry unable to find financing after their shale fracking escapades, capital that is needed to maintain their oil business will be diverted, depletion will ruin their hydrocarbon production and their reduced cash flows will never allow them to make it even half way to their goal.

Compared to them Zeno was a winner. And so will we be as long as VET does not decide to go down the same slippery slope. At least so far they have announced only limited ambitions in this direction.
Much smarter to stay green by maximising nat gas production.and improving efficiencies.
After all who wants to be remembered as DNF (did not finish)
