RE:Looking for good advices fbedard, I don't know much about your personal financial situation or your age or your personal health.
But if you have the means, it sounds like you could take advantage of the services of an estate planner or an accountant. Hinse seems to be using a trust fund to help manage the future transfer of some of his assets.
I hope that you are able to remain more positive.
I do notice that in spite of the many gloomy days we have been having lately, the Sun still shines on most other days. Use this as a metaphor for life.
With every experience and challenge that we face, our glass is either half full or half empty. It's our view to make!
On bad days, put on a pair of rose colored glasses. They help serve, to re-focus our gaze, on what's really important in life. They don't have to be blinders, like a horse is sometimes, forced to wear. But must be of some form, that each person, finds the most comfortable to wear.
Personally, when I was a little younger, I was thrilled and exhillarated to hike in the Rocky mountains. It is terrific exercise in the Summer. In the Winter, cross country skiing added another terrific dimension to my outdoor experience.
I do tire more easily now that I am older. And although I should retire, I am in no financial position to do so. But I would like to get re-energised and breath again, some more, of that better mountain air.
I would like to it all again! I am still a physically fit individual, but I am, just a little long in the tooth!
There are lots of things, to do, to help get yourself motivated.
Begin by taking a daily walk! Take up a musical instrument like a piano or guitar.
It's never too late to learn! I am going do that again myself.
I played the piano, a little, as a youngster. But I quit too early because of the stress of having to perform at a concert recital for a grade evaluation.
Take up photography! Love your family, more than they can stand!
When we are older, no one can tell us that we need to excel at anything at all! We make our own rules! We don't have to take any pressure from others, anymore, to always perform, at our best!
Choose to do what you can do and also enjoy! Do what gives you pleasure.
I like a beer once in awhile. But 8 will put me soundly to sleep! Each to their own!
One more thing about investing in Abcourt Mines, the Board is stacked with the Hinse family and close associates. They may have already decided to distribute a dividend. So when that becomes a real possibility, it is going to happen! The rest of us will take advantage of what we can.
Take that into account in your future tax and estate planning.
I am assuming that you have maximized your RRSP and TFSA accounts. But a margin account is still a good place to put the rest of your investment, for those of your funds, not placed in a trust account for someone else.
Good Luck with your health and Investments!
Live out your remaining life to its fullest potential!
All the best! Java
