RE:This was an "Artisinal" mine site...The majority of deposits and mines dsicovered over there started with artisanal activity.  I remember the Roxgold discovery well and it was definitely a heavily attended site by the locals.  The more you see the better your chances.  It's really about how long they've been there.  In some places these sites have been actively mined by locals like this for decades.  That's when maybe the locals have taken out the first 100 metres of material, maybe.  If you read the NXS news releases and inteviews they say the strike length here basically almost doubled in the last couple of years.  So it appears to be a relatively new area for locals.
