Its Waihi Operation in the North Island of New Zealand is an underground operation. The Haile Gold Mine, located in Kershaw, South Carolina, is a gold mine on the East Coast.

Re:more good news on the way?Keep in mind the deal is not closed yet.  The big move today is based on a high degree of confidence that things look very good.  Once the deal closes, the FTAA is officially announced we should move up again.  But, hate to rain on a parade, but starting things up is far from pushing a button.  Money, time and perhaps having to bring in the likes of Ausenco to get things rolling.  Still, very good indeed, excellent even.  IMO
