BlackRock Municipal Income Trust (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide current income exempt from federal income taxes. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its managed assets in investments the income from which is exempt from federal income tax (except that the interest may be subject to the alternative minimum tax). The Fund may invest directly in securities or synthetically through the use of derivatives. The Fund's investment policies provide that it invests at least 80% of its total assets in investment grade quality municipal obligations issued by or on behalf of states, territories and possessions of the United States and their political subdivisions, agencies or instrumentalities, each of which pays interest that, in the opinion of bond counsel to the issuer, is excludable from gross income for federal income tax purposes. Its investment adviser is BlackRock Advisors, LLC.

RE:Lots of positivity News often takes a bit to get around before volume shows up so I am not too too surprised at lower volume.  We may see bigger volumes in the days following the QTR report as well, especially if it beats the street of fails to meet expectations, that we will have to wait and see on.

Just make sure you know if you plan on being long on the stock or trading short-term.  If the price skyrockets on the report and you are long you can always consider a partial trade out, that way if the shareprice continues to run hard you still have shares.  If the shareprice turns back down from where you sold you could look at buying the shares back... million ways to do it, just be sure not to sell at a loss and be prepared to live with whatever trade you make.  Losses and gains only count when you sell and the difference is reflected in your trading account.
