Savin, all good observations. That is why I am still long. I am holding waiting mainly for Lauriston drill results. But the mistake I make is assuming, as you do too, that the market is rational. It is not....for long periods of time, longer than I can sometimes afford. Lately my gold related investments have lost a lot of money, especially fsx...over 500,000 k on paper. I invest for one reason only...to make a profit. Lately this one is at best dead money and at worst a real drag on the portfolio. The macro environment for gold stocks is now mixed. Institutional rotation out of the so called safe haven trade, post covid, and into energy and renewables is bad for junior explorers like fsx. This is true for now but it could change later next year. That's why I haven't sold yet. But selling now and rebuying later is possible. The decoupling you describe is company specific and true. I added the decoupling that is macro related. Both together are kilking the sp with added manipulation on low volumes. Eventually the rational investment decision based on the drill bit and the gold price and the huge potential cash flows will win out but could take years. Some of us cannot wait that long for various reasons. Stay well and glta longs here.
