I think you are spot on chickendinner, about the LD Micro conference exposure.

A day after the conference, almost an hour into the trading day, the volume is at 15,000 shares.

Some other companies I looked at who presented at the conference are all at least 300,000+ shares, some are trading in the millions.  All around the same share price.

Clearly what is absent here is probably an apathy combined with a lack of interest which stems from a lack of effective marketing and exposure.  Don't think John Proctor's presentation made much of a splash in the eyes of potential investors.
