Big Surprise (not) Huge canadian oversupply what I been saying many timesover that we have two huge problems 1) huge over supply 2) A robust Black Market
Big Surprise. You think you're the only one who knows this - who exactly HASN'T been saying it? (I mean, besides CBC)
You really think the government/police will crack down on the black market - just so cannabis investors can make more money on what's turning out to be bad investments in a lot of bad LPs?
I think you can blame government for lousy roll outs, legsilation, certiifcations, inspections etc etc. - but actual over production is strictly on the producers.
Didn't any LP look at California before opening YET ANOTHER million sq foot greenhouse in Canada's small market to try to grow a lesser quality product - at a higher price, available in too few retail outlets?
If there are too many new cars being produced - is the answer to build new plants and produce more?
Of course not, prodicers need to adapt to the realities of the market place - and if everyone knows the black market exists and everyone can concede that it's not going away - then don't you produce a quality product, at a competitive price way that competes directly with it?
Isn't that how you'll reduce the BM market share?
Or do you just keep growing and blame government for not addressing the BM.
GROW LESS if you can't sell what you're growing, grow better quality, price it competetively - the only thing the government can do is make it easier to sell to a larger market place.
And if you can't make money - your business closes because it's not financially viable, just like any other sector.
