It's all a balancing act, my friend. Government can't solve everything, but then neither can markets, so the idea is to *experiment* to see what works best. Economically, America has been trending conservative for decades now, and every year the gap between the rich and the poor keeps getting bigger and bigger. What kind of country would you rather resemble, one with concentrated wealth and mass poverty, or one with a massive, vibrant middleclass?
