Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

After the dust settles....

After the dust settles....

Initially surprised that Tilray was the dance partner and there are negatives for sure but the strength and positive results will come down to these main items,

- Aphria will find a home for much of its very cheaply produced DD capacity with Tilray. Thus making Tilray immediately way more profitable and addresses you of their own excess production narratives
- Tilray 2.0 footprint and international assets perfectly compliment Aphria's current deficiencies(drinks, edibles)
- Partnerships with Anheuser and Novartis are very significant. Two heavyweights in completely different yet important industries that Cannabis will be impacting
- The Broken Coast expansion can now by done cheaply and efficiently using the Tilray facility just down the road. Also there is the Tilray facilty in Leamington that also compliments existing Aphria facilities
- and lastly and potentially most impactful. Rightly or wrongly Tilray has been loved by movers/shakers/big money. I believe people like Peter Thiel and Kennedy etc...will open doors and create opportunities that Aphria on its own could never do. Access to capital, institutional support hopefully will move the new company into the big leagues.

Getting bogged down on the semantics of the conversion ratio and other such bullsh*t is the shorts attacking and piggybacking on the confusion currently in the market about the desk. Read the description of the share exchange and structure by a poster called "Blue" on the yahoo board for clarification. It's the best and most clear description of the nuts and bolts of it on the internet.
There may be some turbulence short term but the smart money has and/or will figure it out in short order.
