Has anyone said why they showed the guts yet...

I will speculate that it is because they know they can't hide them now that someone else has the product in hand, hmmm. They would have every reason to keep prying eyes out of there of course. And even if they wanted to do something to boost the price they probably wouldn't choose that unless they recognized they couldn't control it anymore becuase units are "out there". That's my hunch and it cheers me.
