From a risk perpective the purchase was with relatively free money (last 90 days), he can lose and will still be ahead (even more so as a tax write-off)

Fascinating.

The brokerages still keep promoting $35 - $40 upside - all while he sells and buys?  Wonder what reasoning decision pattern they are using during that period?
