Trevor Champagne's announcementhttps://stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2020/12/21/dr-trevor-champagne-appointed-chair-of-medx-health-corp-s-medical-advisory
I think this is relevant for a number of reasons;
1) MedX has an active medical advisory board. The members are not there as decorations but rather to guide MedX in the needs of the dermatology and patient community they serve. That is apparent in the following quote from Dr.Champagne . "MedX is a leader in teledermatology because they listen to the dermatology community to develop effective, forward-thinking tools and software that we as specialists, and our patients, need most.
2) Having a thought leader in teledermatology and a teaching professor as Chair of the Medical Advisory Board assures MedX will be at the cutting edge of this very large market.
3) "With both a Doctor of Medicine degree from Western University and a Master of Science, Health Systems Research from the University of Toronto, Dr. Champagne's expertise spans dermatology and computer science. He has been particularly instrumental in the development of DermSecure®, MedX's Patient Management Software, ensuring that it interacts efficiently and effectively with a dermatologist's workflow. He is also overseeing exciting new developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionality, an area of rapid growth, which he will continue to guide in the years to come." MedX continues to develop offerings that solve real world problems. Lots of medtech companies fail because they do not solve real world problems. I am looking forward to hearing about their AI solution. I think having someone as gifted as Dr. Champagne heading the advisory board is truly a strong endorsement of MedX's offering.
