What ever became of the Bus tests?

What ever became of the Bus tests?I don't really follow BLD much but I heard that the bus test were a flop. There was a lot of fan fare when these buses where being delivered now I here most were given back with a polite thanks but no thanks. Anyone know how these tests went?
