RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:PerplexedAbsolutely this ground is brownfield exploration where hydrocarbons were confirmed in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s but each time they were deemed as not commercial because the infrastructure was not in place to support commercialisation and therefore the drilling was more stratigraphic than production orientated.
The hydrocarbon price crash following 2008 wiped that history from people's consciousness which is why this ground was and is seen as early Moose Pasture exploration. Just how wrong can you be!
That failure to grasp the value of the historical exploration and the fact that T&T has no central repository of historic exploration meant Touchstone was able to get a Grade A asset whilst no one noticed, and at cents on the dollar in terms of its value.
And then five years of hard work was required to find all the data and put it together.
So lots of luck but also half a decade of serious work and then some good drills is why this ten bagged this year and might do the same over the coming years.
Anyone who thinks it was easy or quick has missed the point. The value here was created by Touchstone staff out of forgotten high quality "pieces" that others ignored.
