Sister CompaniesSome of Orefinders sister companies seem to be doing quite well. Baseload is up quite sharply to $1.10 And Quebec Copper and Gold is also up quite sharply although only to .26. According to their recent presentations, Orefinders owns nine percent of QCCU and QCCU owns forty-four percent of Baseload, so Orefinders owns about four percent of Baseload. Not much but headed in the right direction. Mistango sems to be holding its own in the high .20 range. And American Eagle Gold shares should be distributed to Orefinders shareholders this quarter. They have some promising claims in Nevada and the PNG claims could be a sleeper. It appears (to me) that some of the PNG complaints against Barrick may be legitimate as detailed here:
“It Did Not Go Well” – Barrick Continues Pressure on Papua New Guinea Government While Ignoring Human Rights | MiningWatch Canada. Taking all of Barrick's mine does seem a bit draconian though. And finally I previously posted about Orefinder's technical action. The comments I made then still apply. Looking at the five year chart, the uptrend channel is still intact although I was a bit worried once or twice that it was breaking down and I particularly like that big cup and handle that has formed. They are drilling 9000 metres on the Knight project including the Tyranite Mine, the "blob" at Porphyry Lake and more Minto like targets. I wonder if that "blob" at Porphyry Lake could be aother Kerr Addison. Dreaming. Anyway fwiw.
