We can with some certainty assume that the basement of the basin is where the survey said it is.
Even if the we are sorely disappointed concerning the other conditions for a quality petroleum system, at least a substantial quantity of source rock should still be there. This means that it is likely there will be at least some interest in further exploration, as well as the possibilty of limited exploitation to satisfy regional demand for natural gas.
A lot of people on this board have delusional target prices and will probably sell on anything other than perfect results. After that sell off, there should still be enough long term potential in the basin to support the current valuation.
