You would need a significant structural change in the virus to for it to go undetected by BioCloud. Most mutations occur within the surface protein (in this case SPIKE protein) of a virus because that is the part that interacts with our cells. It would be a complete rookie mistake to target the surface protein as the detection medium due to high mutations in that region. They most likely chose a more stable region of the virus to detect, one that is extremely unlikely to mutate. Anyone with a background in science would be aware of this and I'm sure they designed BioCloud with this in mind.
