I don't believe the lens was proven viable to themselves or the market. The repeated modifications in the design and applications were indicative that it had some challenges. Not incorporating the ALLIS tech into the DT seemed silly to me. Why buy if a future model will include it? It could well have been enough to sink the company in short order.
