My personal opinion:
The covid19 variant is MORE LETHAL and transmits more easily. It is also killing alot of young people whom are otherwise healthy. This is not good for the world.
They waited way too long to act. They do not even know if the present vaccines will work on covid19 let alone on this variant.
And virus is spreading like fire around the world and is getting worse.
The only way out of this is TESTING, TESTING, TESTING...and they need to do millions upon millions of tests per month and, on a regular basis for 18 months to 2 years if you want any hope of getting rid of this. Like 6 to 8 billion tests in USA alone.
WHO organization today gave up on stopping the virus, saying vaccine will only slow the virus but that it will spread around the world.
I think that we can only hit herd immunity when 2.5 billion people get infected just like the Spanish flu, stopping only when 1/3 of the planet was infected and when 50 million people died out of 500 million people infected.
Today the numbers would soar if we do comparatives. and I do not even want to do those calculations.
Feels like the APOCALYPSE.....
It will take MANY YEARS before this is over.....
